50 Acts of Kindness - Montgomery County Community College

To celebrate our beloved Ken on his 50th birthday, we set out to perform 50 Random Acts of Kindness in his honor. A very fitting tribute for such an extraordinarily generous soul. A special thanks to all who received and participated. Much gratitude to Dylan Lederer for being our masterful editor. Nothing but LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Our Weekly 50 Acts of Kindness Spotlight goes out to Lydia Gonzalez. Lydia received a Kindness Butterfly at the Pay It Forward dinner this quarter and her butterfly had said, "send someone a hand written note of kindness." That's exactly what she did! She is gettingrecognized by us today in regards to a lovely letter she had written to her sister, she had other people in mind, but she chose her sister. It was very touching to read and as a sister she took time to write a beautiful note that even left her in tears while writing it. Now a days friends and family simply email or text. Receiving a handwritten letter is more meaningful and special to receive, than it would be through receiving text or email. She made not only her sister's day but our day as well for doing her act kindness.

50 awesome acts of kindness - Your Stories On The Web

What happens when Kylie ends up on youtube ranting and raving at her pregnant account assistant criticizing her pregnancy and work habits? She loses her job, has to sublet her condo and move back in with her mom in rural North Carolina. In order to work her way back to employment in New York Kylie decides to start a viral campaign to transform her persona from "World's Worst Boss" to a kinder more compassionate Kylie by posting 50 acts of kindness. This turns out to be a journey for both Kylie and everyone who reads his story. I loved this story! It was both humorous and poignant with a shot of romance.

Our spotlight of the day for our 50 Acts of Kindness Campaign goes to the College of Natural Sciences for collecting more than 50 canned goods for The DEN food pantry! We would like to thank Dean Kirsty Fleming for getting her college to support the food pantry specially at this time of the season. Thank you Math Department, Biology, Health Science & Human Ecology, Geology and the CNS Dean’s Office for your generous donation. We hope this inspire our ’Yotes to continue to spread kindness this holiday season. I wonder who will be the next to do their act of kindness in 2016? #CSUSB50ACTS #PollinatingKindness #EngageCSUSB
