Cecil Homer Winters, 80, of Elyria, passed away December 20, 2014. Beloved Husband of Anne (nee Biehl); Loving Father of Terry Winters, Debbie Hennings (D.J.), Bill Cox, Pam Winters, Charles Cox, Holly Scott (Justin), William Jones, and the Late Cecil “Butch” Winters; Dear Grandfather of 15, Great-Grandfather of 6; Dear Brother of Katherine Haga and the Late Sam Winters, Paul Winters and Harry Taylor; also preceded in death by one Grandson, Cecil “Chip” Winters. A memorial service will be held Tuesday December 23, 2014 at 6:00pm at the LISTON FUNERAL HOME, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.
Louis Cecil Winters was a freshman at Michigan State College (now Michigan State University) in 1943. He was absent for a year and then returned as a freshman in the Basic College in the fall 1945.
The Louis Cecil Winters papers contain one copy of Surveying Field Problems and Note Book written by Frank Therou and Lisle Smith. Winters used the notebook during his freshman year for his class, CE 202a.
