Dr. Wacker is the Gilbert T. Rowe Professor Emeritus of Christian History at Duke University Divinity School. His research interests include the history of evangelicalism and American Protestant thought. This lecture will focus on Billy Graham's Christian influence in twentieth century America.
He has been on ABC, PBS, NPR and CNN. He has headlined at the Jonesborough National Storytelling Festival in Tennessee and the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival in Utah. He graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. in English and went on to Duke University Divinity School, serving thereafter as a minister in the United Methodist Church for more than two decades.
