A tree lighting ceremony on Friday at Grossmont Center in La Mesa officially kicked off the holiday season and the mall’s partnership with the Salvation Army.
Casa de Pico, an internationally renowned Mexican restaurant, was originally opened by Diane Powers in 1971 in Old Town, San Diego. In 2005, we relocated to Grossmont Center, where we brought with us the spirit of our original location, with its hacienda-like archways, hand-crafted, wrought iron fixtures and beautiful landscaping reminiscent of Mexico. Casa de Pico’s award-winning cuisine, festive atmosphere, strolling mariachis and world-famous Birdbath Margaritas make it the perfect place to come for a romantic evening getaway or gathering with family and friends.
Each year Grossmont Center partners with the Salvation Army Kroc Center to help more than 400 families in need. Friday’s festivities officially kicked off the holiday toy drive and kettle drive.
Now this is very disturbing! Same method of robbery, same description of car and robbers as the other incidents. Maybe it's time to somehow warn shoppers by possibly having the stores/restaurants had out fliers warning their customers be careful with their purses and how they carry them. Also stepping up security at Grossmont Center may be needed.
