Do you love cooking and eating great food? Do you worry about gaining weight? Do you have or suspect you have food sensitivities? Would you like to feel fabulous all the time? The good news is that there are ways of having your cake and eating it too. Basing their philosophy for health and wellbeing on their formidable combined experience in the food and natural health industries, Jan Purser and Kathy Snowball have created another cookbook with sensational healthy food suitable for all occasions, whether it's dinner for two, a family meal or entertaining the masses. And it's all gluten and dairy-free, making it suitable for people with sensitivities or allergies in those areas. Following on from the success of their award-winning The Detox Cookbook, this is a book of recipes and practical advice for living well, for people with a passion for food who also want to keep a close eye on their health.

In the early 1980s, Kathy Snowball left a career in merchant banking to study at Leith's School of Food and Wine in London. After six years of catering and teaching, she returned to Australia and joined the Australian Women's Weekly as assistant food editor responsible for the Home Library series of cookbooks. In 1993 she moved to Australian Gourmet Traveller, was appointed food editor in 1996 and became food director of this and three other magazines in 2000. She also compiled and edited two cookbooks for Gourmet Traveller. Kathy is now a freelance food writer, working for Gourmet, Gourmet Wine, House and Garden and Cuisine magazine in New Zealand, and she teaches at her newly established cooking school, Snowball and Pemberton's Food Workshop. Jan Purser is a nutrition consultant, Touch For Health practitioner, health and lifestyle counselor, remedial therapist, iridologist and meditation teacher. She has been in practice for over five years in natural therapies and her clinic, 'Food, Body and Health', is based in Perth. Jan worked with the Australian Women's Weekly test kitchen for six years as deputy food editor. More recently, she has worked with Australian Good Taste magazine as food editor and then health and nutrition editor, and currently as their contributing health editor. Jan has authored six books.
