I love my refurbished Nook Color. Looks like a brand new one and have had no problems. Installed an N2A card and have a fully functional Android tablet. Smaller than my i pad, so it is easier to travel with and it is also lighter in weight. Would recommend product and seller.

There have been any number of mainstream articles touting the benefits (and simplicity) of rooting the Nook Color to turn it into a much more capable tablet device. With the recent Nook Color 1.2 update, which moved the Nook to the Android 2.2 (Froyo) version and added a B&N application market, the interest in rooting, at least in the technical press, seems to have waned. Given that there have been offers on the web for a refurbished Nook Color for as little as $180, the entry point for determining if you would like a tablet has lowered significantly.

Although I haven't seen the firsthand and know full well there's , I have mad love for the refurbished Nook Color I purchased a few months ago (for $179.99, grumble grumble). It's alluringly thin and comfortably light. It feels solid and has that cute little hole in the corner. And it's a terrific e-reader. (Parents, take note: it's especially great for children's books.)
