Richard Booker was born in California in 1954, and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee where his artistic talent flourished at a very early age. He first recognized his talent in high school while scribbling in art class. As a child, drawing was an escape from childhood pressures.
Early childhood memories influence his creative works. These memories allow his artistic vision to flow naturally. Richard moved to Arizona with his wife Angela in 2010. He has exhibited his work at various venues including Mason Murer Fine Art Gallery and the Apex Museum, Atlanta GA and Sun Dust Art Gallery in AZ. He is inspired by Monets style. Richards first love of painting is doing portraits. He enjoys painting people because their likeness portrays a story. A good example of this is the painting he completed of Mrs. Corretta Scott-King along with her daughter Bernice King.
With years of experience as a Graphic Design Artist, he creates, designs, and paints wall murals utilizing a combination of traditional and contemporary creative methods. He creates artistic expressions utilizing his fingers and a unique technique by combining acrylic, oil pastels, and/or pencil.
Richard develops interpretive themes that convey ideas and information by creating fine art that communicates mood, insight, viewpoint, and visual impressions. His unique talent demonstrates his ability to translate features of subject material into expressions of fine art. In addition to his artistic talent, he frames most of his pieces.
Richard has a history of artistic contributions. His works and exquisite expressions of art are displayed in private collections. He has also illustrated his talent with bridal portraits featured on the broadcast of Weddings of a Lifetime, The Lifetime channel and the Fox Good Morning Show.
Dr. Richard Booker has written 30 books and is considered a pioneer and spiritual father in teaching on Israel, Jewish-Christian relations, and the biblical Hebraic roots of Christianity. For 20 years, he and his wife, Peggy, have led tour groups to Israel where he has been a featured speaker at the Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem.

Fifty-Six Hope Road Music, the entity run by the widow and nine children of late reggae superstar Bob Marley, is going to court to protect the Marley marks from Richard Booker, a half-brother of the singer. According to a lawsuit filed in Florida federal court on Thursday, Booker has been using Marley's name and image for music festivals and plans to use it in other commercial endeavors. The estate is seeking an injunction against further exploitation of Bob Marley's likeness.
