Earlier this summer, WWE announced Goldberg as a pre-order exclusive for the WWE 2K17 video game. Two versions of him will be playable. The game comes out on October 11, 2016.
Ever since WWE unveiled Goldberg as part of WWE 2K17, speculation began about whether he would be wrestling a match for the Leader in Sports Entertainment. It seemed like a similar situation to Sting, who became part of WWE 2K15. He went on to wrestle at WrestleMania 31 against Triple H and Night of Champions 2015 vs. Seth Rollins.
Goldberg hasn't appeared in a WWE ring since 2004, but he had negotiations with Triple H to appear at WrestleMania XXX last year, but nothing ended up coming to fruition.Goldberg publicly said that the two sides couldn't reach an agreement and it seems like a possible reunion is farfetched.Lesnar, meanwhile, returned to the WWE in 2012 and eventually ended The Streak of The Undertaker and won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship last year. The Beast then dropped the belt at WrestleMania 31 without being pinned and should be back next month after re-signing with the WWE prior to the Show of Shows.Goldberg also said that he may choose not to wrestle, but so far something is in the works."There is an actual date in a stadium in this country that is set up with entertainment to put on an event like nobody's ever seen," Goldberg said. "And it's in my court. It's all about timing, it's all about the right opponent. There's so much that goes into this, especially if it's my last time. And I honestly don't know if I'm 100-percent willing to do it, because I'm seriously considering kickboxing right now."A Goldberg-Lesnar rematch is likely a pipe dream as Lesnar is signed by the WWE and Goldberg is refusing to return. For more content, follow us on Twitter or LIKE US on
