In a thread at related to Jeff Lewis' recent injury while squatting, posters are discussing whether walking out squats or squatting out of a monolift is safer. Zane Geeting argues that walking out squats is more dangerous than using a monolift. However, he says that when lifters combine multi ply gear with the monolift, the potential for injury may become more equal. A counter argument is made that multi ply gear could never exist without the monolift.

Thanksgiving bloat spectacular pictures.

This wasn't my best work, but the visible change is pretty comical. So here's the first picture from Wed night before I went to bed.



And here's what I weighed when I woke up Thanksgiving morning.



Now, as I said, I didn't get in the best work. I think I did 8 or 9 lbs. last year. This year I only hit 6 lbs.



But, I think the picture tells the tale a little better. And I promise, I am not blowing out my stomach here. It was so tight feeling it was unreal.



So, there it is. Send 'em in if you've got 'em. I'm sure some of you crushed my weight gain, but I'm still proud of Dat Belly. lol.

Chad Aiches kind of took me under his wing for the day and had a ton of good advice. Chad, Zane Geeting and Molly Edwards coached me through and made some quick improvements. I know I need to get some reps to get it right but the little things are going to make all the difference. Jen Petrosino was nice enough to wrap me up, that girl is maybe a little crazy but was super helpful and I am grateful that she was taking care of me. 4 take aways on the squat:
